Mechanism:

Mitotek nanoencapsulated DHEA + pregnenolone provides the two critical master hormone precursors DHEA and pregnenolone in a highly bioavailable nanoemulsified form. Sonicated nanoemulsion allows for significantly greater absorption of hormone molecules like DHEA and pregnenolone. 

After dispersing the molecules in an oil-rich dispersion, sonication breaks the oil phase down into nanometer-sized lipid envelopes each containing bioavailable DHEA and pregnenolone. 

Chronic stress, aging, caloric restriction various health conditions have been shown to significantly reduce the amount of DHEA and pregnenolone available to the body. In fact, research shows the plasma levels of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and its sulfated form (DHEAS) decline ∼80% between the ages of 25 and 75 yr. This loss of DHEA has a significant negative impact on fitness, while reduced DHEA-S, a procognitive neurosteroid, contributes to a decline in cognitive performance and mood.

Similarly, pregnenolone plays an important role as a neurosteroid and endocrine precursor. Pregnenolone "can modulate myelination, neuroinflammation, neurotransmission, and neuroplasticity in the brain, implying its importance in cognition, aging, and addiction."
